Memorial Services will be conducted for Jerry David Tallent, age 60, at a later date.
A native of Eugene, Oregon and resident of Erath, Mr. Tallent passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Tallent was a Veteran of the US Marines and a member of the Masonic Lodge #255 of Jeanerette. He loved watching football and the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years Darlene Broussard Tallent of Erath; three children, Tiffany T. Tomczek and her husband Joe and Jerron David Tallent all of Erath and Holly T. Landry and husband Todd of New Iberia; five grandchildren, Riley Tallent, Cameron Landry, Mason Tomczek, Ridge Landry and Caiden Landry; three brothers, Richard Tallent of Nacogdoches, TX; John Paul Tallent of Gladewater, TX and Melvin A. Tallent of Spring Valley, Arizona and one sister, Coleen T. Coffman of Stone Mountain, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Edna Snyder Tallent and two brothers, Roy Tallent and Jimmy Tallent.
