Relay for Life to kick off 2010 with more birthdays

The Vermilion Parish Committee of Relay for Life will be kicking off plans for 2010 this Monday (tomorrow) beginning at 6 p.m. in the American Legion Hall in Abbeville.
The Relay for Life team recognizes that their success in the past has been because of the strong support of the people who participate and the commitment from the sponsors.
In the end, the support received from everyone is what will help the program come closer to finding a cure for cancer.
Relay for Life believes there is no such thing as too many candles on a birthday cake and is working to make sure that everyone can make it to that next birthday.
Relay for Life is ready for even more people to become involved in this year’s activities. Becoming involved, according to Relay for Life, is a way to help fight back against cancer.
The kick-off event includes food, games and music by “The Outlaws”, with dancing allowed and encouraged. Children are invited to the party as well.
