Evangeline Parish prepares for its annual food drive

The annual Food for Families food drive, sponsored by KLFY, TV-10 for the 22nd year, will be held in Evangeline Parish Wednesday, December 10, from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Market to close, last one Friday
Friday, November 21, will be the last market of the fall season for the Ville Platte Farmer’s Market, according to organizer Pam McGee, Main Street coordinator. Fall vegetables, sweet potatoes and homemade items like pies and wine can be found at the market, which runs from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Ville Platte Town Square Park For more information, call city hall at 363-2939 or Pam McGee at 831-4354.
