KAPLAN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Linda Ann Leonard, 49 the former Linda Arceneaux at 11:00am Saturday, March 13, 2010 at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church with Rev. David Broussard and her cousin, Monsignor Ronald Broussard officiating.

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Friday, March 12, 2010 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of William Thomas Anderson, 71, who died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
He will be laid to rest at Immaculate Conception Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.
Chief Petty Officer William T. Anderson retired from the United States Navy August 30, 1974 after twenty years of honorable service.

Jessie Gabriel LeBlanc

DELCAMBRE – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Jessie Gabriel LeBlanc, age 76, at 3:00 pm Friday March 5, 2010 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at Migues Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Thursday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until service time.

A native of Avery Island and resident of Erath, Mr. LeBlanc passed away at 9:30 am on Wednesday March 3, 2010 at Vermilion Rehabilitation Center.

Velma Eve Hebert Duhon

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Friday, March 5, 2010 with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church honoring the life of Velma Eve Hebert Duhon, 90, who died Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
She will be laid to rest at Leroy Cemetery with officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Denry Duhon, Danny Duhon, Dallas Duhon, Damien Duhon, Ian Willis, Russel Life and Jeremy Moore. Gift bearers will be Vanessa Duhon, Naomie Moore and Sarah Life.

Edwin “Moss” J. Darby

Abbeville-Funeral services will be held for Mr. Edwin “Moss” J. Darby 83 at 2:00pm Saturday, March 6, 2010 at C. M. Butler Funeral Home-218 N. Saint Valerie St. with Rev. Joseph Darby(Pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church-New Iberia,LA) officiating.

He will await the resurrection in St. Paul Cemetery in Abbeville, LA. Visiting hours will be observed on Saturday from 8:00am until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Darby passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at his residence in the presence of his loved ones after a brief illness.

Dorothy Beaudeaux Meaux

Abbeville – Funeral Services for Mrs. Maurice Meaux, the former Dorothy “Dot” Mary Beaudeaux, 74, will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Cody Miller officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM with the recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM and will resume on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 8:00AM until service time. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
