When is it good to struggle against Chruch Point? Look at J.C. Two good RB and two good QB and look at where they are going to college. Who has gone to college from Eunice lately. I heard Ren is not playing College Ball after running for over 1000 yd last year. Do we not promote these guys, or talk to coaches for them. If a 2A school can do it why can't Eunice. Not since Chris Carrier and Todd Coutee have we had anybody go to a D-1 or now 1-A program. Why is that? How good are we really? The real measure of a good program is the Flys (College Coaches) hubbering around your school. Eunice don't any Flys.

Last season, the Patriots had to replace the irreplaceable Joe McKnight, but it didn't stop them from winning a 22nd state title. To win another 2A championship, they will have to effectively replace two major D-I recruits in the defensive backfield, P.J. Smith (Nebraska) and Robby Green (Alabama). Matt Stansbury (111 tackles) and Jonathan Pippin (106 tackles, 6 sacks) lead a number of standouts that should keep the defense strong. Offensively, RB Kenny Cain (1,122 yards) is back. JR Bryce Jenkins will battle it out with transfer Evan Ingram for the starting QB job. Joe's brother, Jonathan McKnight, is a promising sophomore DB/WR. In all, 10 starters return for head coach J.T. Curtis, the second-winningest coach in prep football history. The Patriots will open the season in Texas Stadium vs defending Texas 5A-I champ Euless Trinity.
