Mrs. Jase Paul Breaux

Lauren-Grace Lege and Jase Paul Breaux United in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony

On the evening of December 17th, during a candlelit ceremony, Lauren-Grace Lege and Jase Paul Breaux were united in the sacrament of Holy Matrimony at Saint Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville, Louisiana. Father Louis Richard, pastor of St. Mary Magdalen, presided at the nuptial ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brandon Joseph Lege of Abbeville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Bruce Dronet of Erath, Mr. Joseph Arnold Lege and Ms. Lana Smith Lege of Abbeville. She is a 2017 graduate of Vermilion Catholic High School in Abbeville and a 2021 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She is currently enrolled in the Physician Assistant Studies Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she will graduate in 2024.
The groom is the son of Mr. Darrel Paul Breaux, and Ms. Kelly Ann Breaux of Kaplan. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas LeBeouf, Mrs. Carrie Breaux, and the late Mr. Loveless Breaux of Cow Island. He is a 2017 graduate of Kaplan High School and a 2021 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology. He is currently enrolled in the Masters of Construction Management Program at Louisiana State University where he is set to graduate in 2023. Jase is also employed as a Design Engineer for Fiber Optics at AT&T.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a custom Provonias gown featuring delicate long sleeves, a structured bodice, high V-neck, guipure lace inserts, and Mikado fabric throughout. The back of her gown featured an illusion insert of guipure lace, Mikado covered buttons, and cathedral length train with additional guipure lace inserts. The bride carried a handheld bouquet of Peonies and Eskimo Roses accented with Seeded Eucalyptus wrapped with a beloved handkerchief passed down from her great-grandmother, the late Mrs. Peggy Hunt of Lafayette, and a rosary passed down from her great-grandmother, the late Mrs. Irene Dronet of Erath. The bride completed her bridal look with an extended cathedral length veil.
The bride was attended by her sister, Leah Lege, and the groom’s sister, Lexi Breaux; Rosa-Claire Hagle, Anna-Kate Hagle, Jenna-Beth Hagle, and Sara-Ellen Hagle, cousins of the bride; Kelly White, Hannah Wright, Lexi Venable, Haley Faulk, Laura Fontenot, and Emily Gallet, close friends of the bride. The maid of honor was Ms. Kylie White of Abbeville, close friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were dressed in champagne-colored Amsale faille gowns and held delicate, white floral bouquets.
Flower girls included Gemma Guidry, daughter of Skyla Herpin, and Averi Williams, daughter of Lexi Breaux. They wore heirloom white dresses accented with ecru lace, satin ribbon, and hair wreaths made of small white florals.
The groom was attended by the bride’s brother, Ethan Lege; Lance LeBeouf, cousin of the groom; Pat LeBlanc, Seth Suire, Ridge Herpin, Teal Richard, Gabe Briolo, Jerrick Romero, and Jack Hardin, close friends of the groom. The best man was cousin of the groom, Mr. Mitchell Herpin of Kaplan. John-Tyler Lege, Andrew Lege, Jade Herpin, and Braylon Romero served as ushers.
Junior groomsman was Manning Lege and ring bearer was Maddux Lege, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Chase and Katie Lege.
Scriptural readings for the mass were presented by Mrs. Laura LeBeouf and Dr. Tricia Lege. Juliette Smith, Emme Smith, and Audrey Goudeau served as program attendants. Ceremony music was provided by Mr. Wayne Hebert on vocals, Mr. Jared Gray on trumpet, and Mr. Tommy Guidry, director of music for St. Mary Magdalen.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Magdalen Place.
The night before the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the parents of the groom at Rock ‘n’ Bowl de Lafayette located in downtown Lafayette.
The couple will be traveling for their honeymoon in Iceland, France, and Italy.
