Lurcey JR Marceaux

January 28, 1946 — July 16, 2026

ABBEVILLE — Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, honoring the life of Lurcey JR Marceaux, 80, who died Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery. Military honors will also be conducted at the cemetery by the Acadiana Honor Guard.
In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, sports, and spending time with family. He also enjoyed watching movies and listening to music and had an interest in astronomy and history.
Lurcey proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his 2 children; Angela Marceaux and Lurcey Marceaux Jr., 5 grandchildren; Terry Schexnider, Tyler Melancon, Seth Marceaux, Megan Marceaux and Paul Young, 1 great grandchild; Ryek Schexnider; 2 sisters, Hazel Romero and Jeanette Baudoin and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Priscilla Broussard Marceaux; parents, Azeal Marceaux and the former Paula LaPointe.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 9:00 AM until time of services. A rosary is being prayed at 1:30 PM.
