Donald Adam LeBlanc

ABBEVILLE — A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Cypress Funeral Home Chapel in Maurice for Donald Adam LeBlanc, age 80, who passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 17, 2022, in Abbeville.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2022, from 10:00 am until the time of service at Cypress Funeral Home Chapel in Maurice.
Donald was born on April 23, 1942, in Abbeville and he was a lifelong resident of Abbeville. He was part of generations of carpenters in the LeBlanc family, following in his father’s footsteps along with his son, Keith. The three of them repaired St. Mary Magdalen Church after the damaging fire in the 1980’s. Donald was a lifelong carpenter who built many homes and commercial properties around Vermilion Parish. It is said the LeBlanc men would leave their initials under the kitchen cabinet drawers of all the homes they built. Donald loved playing his guitar and would always lend a hand with his carpentry skills to help all of his family.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Clara H. LeBlanc of Abbeville; his son, Keith LeBlanc (Nadine) of Maurice; his two daughters, Deborah L. Broussard (David) of Erath and Alicia L. Bower of Abbeville; his four grandchildren, Michael Broussard (Christie), Nikolette Broussard, Heather Comeaux (Spencer), Melania Bower (Malachi Arriaga); as well as his two sisters, Connie LeBlanc and Sheila LeBlanc (Latrell).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis “Black” LeBlanc and the former Alice Abshire; as well as her brother, Richard Dale LeBlanc.
The family wishes to offer a heartfelt thank you to the nurses, doctors, and staff of Heart of Hospice for the care and compassion they offered to Donald and his family during his time of need.
