ABBEVILLE – Funeral Services for Mr. Rudy Joseph Caillouet, 82, will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Abbeville with Deacon Francis Cao officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 9:00AM until the time of the services.

Erath native Nun passes away in Arkansas after battle with cancer

On Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, Sister DePorres Polk formerly of Erath, lost her battle with cancer at the Holy Angels Convent in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Erath native, Barbara Polk was born to Henry and Dorothy Mae (Jessie) Polk on July 23, 1943. She attended Dozier Elementary as a child and was a 1961 Herod High graduate. She was one of three children. She has one remaining sister; Judith Polk Lightfoot and she lost a brother Preston Richard in December 2015.

Vivian Hall Jones, 88, a resident of Verdunville, LA passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:18 AM at her residence.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday February 3, 2018 from 8:00 AM until recitation of the rosary at 9:30 AM at the St. Jules Catholic Church in Franklin, LA. Tributes will follow the recitation of the rosary. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the funeral mass services at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Verdunville, LA.
