Rain-Bowie Foundation donates CuddleCot to Abbeville General

Abbeville General is offering a thank you to the Rain-Bowie Foundation, who recently donated a CuddleCot to its Labor and Delivery department.
A CuddleCot is a small, portable, and lightweight unit that allows families experiencing the unfortunate loss of their baby to spend more time with them before changes and signs of deterioration begin. Each year, about 21,000 babies are stillborn, and the CuddleCot gives the parents of these babies extra time to soak up all the memories that they can.

Cameron is the son of Cisely Cormier of Lafayette and Kyle Etie’ of Erath. The nuptial wedding ceremony will take place on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Louisiana Cajun Mansion in Youngsville, Louisiana.

Mr. and Mrs. Ricky and Kayla Vidallier of Abbeville are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming sacramental marriage of their daughter, Miss Hannah Marie Vidallier of Abbeville, to Mr. Luke Steven Thompson of New Iberia. Luke is the son of Todd Thompson of New Iberia and Pauline Babin Jordan of New Iberia.
The nuptial wedding Mass will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Caatholic Church in Broussard, Louisiana.

The Louisiana Cattlemen’s Convention was held January 6-8 at the historic Hotel Bentley in Alexandria, Louisiana. Loraine LeBouef, long time Cattlemen and Cattlewomen’s Association member, was recognized as Member of the Year. From backyards to tropical rain forests, trees around the world provide life’s necessities. Trees clean our air and filter water, provide habitat for wildlife, connect communities, and support our health and well-being.
Abbeville Garden Club and Keep Abbeville Beautiful are working together, planting trees throughout our community to provide a safer local environment. Selecting the right location, locally sourcing native trees and using proper planting methods is key to successful planting.
