ABBEVILLE – Funeral Services for Mrs. Kathy Marie Broussard - Shelvin, 62, will be held 11:00AM on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Spirit of Faith Church in Lafayette with Pastor Tracie Millard officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.
Visitation will be at Spirit of Faith Church at 205 Touchet Rd.  Lafayette, LA on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 8:30AM until the time of the services at 11:00AM.
A native of Erath and a resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Broussard - Shelvin died at 7:33AM on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at University Hospital and Clinic.  Kathy “Show Shott” was an active member of Blu Kryztal Motorcycle Club for 15years.  She worked with the Council on Aging starting at the age of 17 and was employed there over 25 years.  She began coordinating trips with Casino Coaches while at the Council on Aging, and then worked for Casino Coaches for over 15 years.  Currently she has been employed at Stein Mart for the past 15years.
She is survived by her mother, Audrey Pillette Broussard of Erath; her husband, Glen D. Shelvin, Sr. and their children, Tamarah Broussard and Glen D. Shelvin, Jr.; her first husband, Osborne Taylor, Jr. and their children, Johnathan Taylor and Shakelia Shelvin and her husband Christopher Shelvin, Sr.; two brothers, Calvin Broussard, Jr. (Bernice) and Michael Broussard (Dione); sisters, Debbie Prejean, Viola “Sue” Malveaux (Timmy), Pamela Vallot (Charles, Jr.), Idell Guerra (David), and Charlotte Broussard; ten grandchildren, Montavian Mitchell, Christopher Shelvin, Jr.,  Johnathan Taylor, Jr., Kieran Shelvin, Brendan Shelvin, Jaysen Shelvin, A’Kela Shelvin, Kaden Shelvin, Kinsley Marie Freeman, and one grandson on the way; one great grandchild, McKenzie Jones; six god children; a special friend, Larry Levier, Sr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Broussard, Sr. 
 Serving as pallbearers will be members of the Biker Clubs with which she was associated.

ERATH – Funeral Services for Mr. Louis Salvador Daniels, 71, will be held at 1:30PM on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Erath Police Department with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating.
Visitation will be at Erath Police Department on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 10:00AM until the time of the services.  Following the services there will be a light lunch at the Erath Police Department.
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing Louis Salvador Daniels.  He was born in Nashville, TN on March 17, 1947 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Smith Daniels.  He was employed with the Erath Police Department for over 8 years..
Lou is survived by his wife Heather Estey Daniels, a stepson, Nicholas Munn and Heather; two stepdaughters, Deanna Munn and Mandy Gould and Ben; five step grandchildren, Olivia Munn, Kylie Munn, Griffin Munn, Chase Gould, and Cohl Gould all of New Brunswick, Canada.
Serving as pallbearers will be Officer. Larry Landry, Officer Jeff Vincent, Officer Mitch Pommier, Officer Brandon Perrin, Officer Payton Hardy, and Officer Chad LaPointe.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Chief Anna LaPointe; Officer Stanley Campbell, Officer Randall Toups, and Mayor John Earl LeBlanc.

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Geraldine L. LeBlanc at 2:00 pm Monday, May 21, 2018 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Fr. Buddy Breaux will be the celebrant. Readers for the mass will be Amanda Thibodeaux and Joni Fontenot. Keisha LeBlanc and Holli Mire will serve as gift bearers. Mrs. LeBlanc will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum following the mass.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home in Delcambre on Sunday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with the Men’s Rosary Group leading the Rosary at 7:00 pm. Visiting hours will resume on Monday from 8:00 am until 1:30 pm.
Geraldine was born March 13, 1933 in Delcambre to the late Raleigh J. LeBlanc and the late Yvonne Landry LeBlanc, and passed away peacefully at her home Friday, May 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Maw, as she was affectionately known by her family, lived a life of love, a life devoted to God and her family. She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and served in the Ladies Altar Society. She spent time crocheting, playing cards with friends, cooking, and enjoying a cold Miller Lite. She absolutely adored her family and grandchildren, and enjoyed many memorable times sitting by the pool watching them swim. She leaves a legacy of love that will live on the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Ken LeBlanc, Jr. and wife Keisha L. LeBlanc, Linda M. Griffin and husband Nathan Griffin, Anita Louise LeBlanc and Amy L. Corner; eight grandchildren, Matt Griffin, Amanda Thibodeaux and companion Holli Mire, Andy Griffin and wife Dana Griffin, Joni D. Fontenot and husband Luke Fontenot, Joshua D. Dorn, Tyler A. Clemons and fiancé Tori Trahan, Kristopher K. LeBlanc and Kamille A. LeBlanc; seven great grandchildren, Macy, Gabe, Chole and Aiden Griffin, Gavin Thibodeaux, Jake and Owen Fontenot; one great great grandchild, Ellie Hollier; and her sister and brother, Mary Ann Baudoin and husband Bert Baudoin and Charles D. LeBlanc and wife Goldie LeBlanc.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, K. R. LeBlanc; her daughter, Teena L. LeBlanc; and her grandson, JonCade Clemons.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kristopher LeBlanc, Joshua D. Dorn, Tyler A. Clemons, Matt Griffin, Carl Viator and Christopher Gras. Micah Thibodeaux, Andy Griffin and Gavin Thibodeaux will serve as honorary pallbearers.

ABBEVILLE — Funeral Services for Wilda Broussard Bares, 95, will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, May 21, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton, LA with Reverent William Schambough Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Sunday, May 20 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 PM, with the recitation of the Holy Rosaryat 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday, May 21 from 8:00 am until the time of service.Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
A native of Vermillion Parish, and a resident of the Woodlawn Bridge Community, Wilda was adevoted wife and mother who loved her family whom were always first in her life, especially her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a devout member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a member of the St. Joseph’s Ladies Altar Society.
She is survived by her three daughters Patsy B. Hebert and Joan B. Morvant and her husband Billy Morvant all of the Woodlawn Bridge Community, and Aralise B. Whitney and her husband Mark Whitney of Lafayette; her grandchildren David Hebert and his wife Amanda Hebert, Matthew Hebert, Jessica Hebert Ward and her husband John Ward, Elizabeth Morvant Gaspard and her husband Chad Gaspard, Angela Morvant LeBlanc and her husband Barry LeBlanc, and Eric Whitney; Nine great grandchildren; and four sisters Joyce Schexnider of Sulphur, LA, Louella (Jimmie) Sonnier of Lafayette, LA,Janet (Carol) Lacy of Scott, LA and Nola Broussard of Milton, LA.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Louis Theo Bares; parents, John Edier and Lorna Landry Broussard; grandchild Charles Louis Whitney; two brothers Francis Fred Broussard of Crowley, and Paul Hugh “Nap” Broussard of Milton; three sisters Tina Simon and Leona “To-Toot” Broussard of Milton, and Mildred Picard of Maurice.
Pallbearers will be Elizabeth M. Gaspard, David Hebert, Angela M. LeBlanc, Matthew Hebert, John Ward, and Eric Whitney. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Morvant, Mark Whitney, Barry LeBlanc, Amanda Hebert and Jessica H. Ward.
