Waits Recipient of Vermilion Farm Bureau Federation Scholarship

Congratulations to Kinsey Waits, the recipient of the Vermilion Farm Bureau Federation Scholarship in the amount of $1000. Farm Bureau is the state’s largest general farm organization representing farmers, ranchers and rural residents. Because we are a membership based organization, a very large number of our members are not farmers and ranchers, therefore; we have chosen to provide a scholarship to a graduating senior that is interested in a field of study outside of agriculture.

2 Slices Of Bread

I like sandwiches. Of course. I’m like Oprah Winfrey, “ I LOVE bread!” White bread not so much, but wheat bread, rye bread, potato bread, French bread, multigrain bread, pumpernickel, and ciabattas, baguettes and others.
Have you ever tasted pumpernickel toast with butter? Delicious! I don’t usually buy pumpernickel except for vacations because then it is special, always a treat. When my children were young, I would make bagels special, bringing them on every trip to the beach.
